I am so happy to have joined the online gallery for @7dialsart which is a website which hosts a growing collection of local artists and makers, sharing opportunities, promoting artists work and exhibitions and being supported by local businesses too; very welcome in these times of limited opportunities to exhibit – Thankyou Abigail Bowen for setting it up
Visited Hastings Museum and Art Gallery to see my two selected painting exhibited as part of the Hastings Open Exhibition – what an interesting Museum, full of beautiful antiquities and also very well set up for social distancing – did have my mask on most of the time but had the place to ourselves!
In the studio, themes develop – sweeping skies – being connected, enveloped by nature, favourite feeling.
just came across this great photograph of a painting bought by a very stylish friend and collector – amazing to see how well it works against the deep background 90x90cm untitled, acrylic on canvas.

I’ve found an addictive little creative pursuit of splicing my photographs from daily walks, often in sunset with slices of images from my paintings – really interesting seeing the relationships that are there not always consciously noted. Helping to make sense of the internal and external world and experiences of the current situation here in lockdown May 2020.
Also I made a recording zoom interview last night with my friend Artist Julie Allan interviewing me about my practice, inspiration etc last night, really fun to do, I will do the same for her soon and will edit and release it soon. Watch this space, hope everyone is well.
