Kate was brought up in Brighton, she studied Fine Art Painting at The University of East London, followed by a Masters in Fine Art Printmaking at Brighton University.

Kate had various studios and exhibited in and around London, taking part in mixed exhibitions, commissions, and having work in private collections and also one-woman shows, before moving back to Brighton with her family in 2000.
Alongside painting, Kate worked for many years part-time as a counsellor within a women’s health organisation, she has a studio in her home in Hove and is now concentrating on painting, enjoying being part of the vibrant creative community in Brighton, regularly exhibiting in the Artists Open Houses and group shows, and has recently had a two-woman show in Brighton, and was invited to take part in the Fairground group show of Sussex artists at Glyndebourne Opera House in 2022., and is currently showing some small paintings at Oxmarket contemporary in Chichester. Kate also exhibits and curates pop-up exhibitions with other artists, and is very open to offers to exhibit in new venues, building her community of patrons and collectors, and welcomes studio visits from collectors.
Kate makes paintings of various sizes and also carries out commissions, all work is available to buy unless stated otherwise, and prices range from £170 to £3000, please look at the contact page for more information.
She says ‘There is often a battle between recklessness and control, natural expression and artificial order, the resulting truce being a feeling of balance as if the images had just come into being, depicting a world within themselves.’
